How to choose a signature for your name
- Pick the name form first. Full name, initial + surname, or initials. That decision changes the look more than any font.
- Match the style to where you sign. Formal scripts for contracts and HR forms; quick hands for everyday paperwork; flourished capitals for art, books and cards.
- Check it small. Signature lines are only a few centimetres wide. Styles with open letters and a clear first capital survive being shrunk.
- Keep one version. Use the same signature everywhere so banks and employers can match it.

Signature for my name: questions
How do I make a signature for my name?
Type your name in the box. You instantly see it in twelve signature styles, from a classic full name to initials and a quick everyday scrawl. Tap the one you like to open it in the editor, adjust slant, size and finishing stroke, then download it as a transparent PNG, SVG, JPG or PDF.
Which name form should I use in my signature?
For contracts and banking, most people use either their full name or first initial plus surname, because both stay recognisable. Initials alone suit initialling pages. First name only is common for artwork, books and cards.
Can I use a generated signature on legal documents?
In the US the ESIGN Act and UETA, and in the EU the eIDAS regulation, accept electronic signatures for most contracts, and what matters is your intent to sign, not the style. A typed or generated signature image is a simple electronic signature. Some documents, such as wills or notarised papers, have stricter rules, so check before you rely on it.
Is my name sent anywhere?
No. The styles are drawn in your browser from fonts stored on this site. Nothing you type is uploaded. Only the AI signature generator sends your name, and only when you press its button.
Does it work for short names or long names?
Yes. Long names often look better as an initial plus surname or a short form; very short names have room for a big capital and a finishing stroke. Each card shows a different name form, so you can compare them side by side.
Can I make it look like real handwriting?
Pick one of the quick or loose hands, such as the “Quick everyday” or “Loose personal hand” styles, and add a little slant. For your actual handwriting, use the drawing pad or photograph your pen signature and clean it up.
