Tips for a natural handwritten signature
- Sign at your normal speed. Slow tracing produces wobbly lines; a quick, confident stroke looks like ink.
- Use the whole pad. Draw big. The export trims the empty space, so size on screen doesn't matter.
- Turn your phone sideways for a wider pad when your name is long.
- Lower the nib setting for an even, ballpoint-like line; raise it for a fountain-pen swell.
- Pick the ink the document expects: black or blue is the safe choice for contracts.
How the pad smooths your line
Your pointer reports dozens of points per second. The pad runs them through a smoothing filter that pulls each point slightly toward the previous one, then builds an outline around the path whose width shrinks as you speed up and swells as you slow down, which is how ink behaves on paper. The result is a filled vector shape, which is why the SVG download is perfectly sharp at any size.

How do I draw my signature online?
Sign on the pad above the line with your finger, a stylus or a mouse. Use Undo stroke to remove the last stroke, then download a transparent PNG, SVG, JPG or PDF.
Why does my drawn signature look shaky with a mouse?
A mouse is held by the whole arm, so small wobbles show. The pad smooths the line, but for the most natural result draw on a phone with your finger or use a trackpad with two-finger-free tap-drag. Drawing larger and faster also looks more natural.
Does it support stylus pressure?
Yes. With an Apple Pencil, Surface Pen or Wacom stylus in a browser that reports pen pressure, pressing harder makes the line thicker. With a finger or mouse, pressure is simulated from drawing speed.
Is the drawing saved anywhere?
Only if you press Save, and then only in this browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded. You can clear saved signatures at any time.
Can I use a drawn signature on a PDF?
Yes. Download the transparent PNG, or open Sign a PDF on this site, which lets you place the signature on any page and download the signed PDF without uploading it.
