Three ways to make a signature online

Type it. Enter your name and pick from 27 handwriting fonts, from formal copperplate-style scripts to quick, loose hands. Switch the name form to initials or “J. Doe”, add slant and a finishing stroke. The SVG download contains real vector outlines, not a font reference, so it looks identical everywhere.

Are my signatures uploaded anywhere?

No. Typed, drawn and uploaded signatures are processed on your own device and never sent to a server. The only exception is the optional AI designer, which sends the name and short brief you type to an AI model to pick font designs; it never receives an image.

Which format should I download?

Use the transparent PNG for Word, Google Docs, PDFs and email, because it sits cleanly on any background. SVG is a scalable vector for designers and print. Animated SVG is the same vector drawn on screen like a live signature, for websites and presentations. JPG has a white background for systems that reject transparency. PDF gives you a one-page file you can attach or print.

Is a typed or drawn signature legally valid?

In the United States (ESIGN Act and UETA), the European Union (eIDAS) and the UK, an electronic signature is generally valid for most contracts if it shows your intent to sign. Some documents, such as wills, certain property deeds and court filings, have stricter rules. For regulated documents, check with the organisation that asked for your signature.

How do I add my signature to a Word document?

Download the transparent PNG, then in Word choose Insert › Pictures and pick the file. Set text wrapping to “In front of text” so you can drag it onto the signature line, and resize from a corner so it keeps its proportions.

What is the difference between a signature generator and a digital signature?
