Data Collection

We collect minimal data:

  • No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal identifying information by default.
  • Local Storage Only: All signatures you create are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB. We never upload or store your signatures on our servers.
  • No Tracking: We use privacy-focused analytics (Ahrefs Web Analytics) that does not track individual users or collect personal data.

AI Features & Data Processing

When you use our AI-powered signature generator:

  • Name Input: The name you enter is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI via Vercel AI Gateway) to generate signature styles.
  • Processing Purpose: Your name is used solely to generate signature suggestions and is not stored or used for any other purpose.
  • Third-Party Processing: AI requests are processed through Vercel AI Gateway, which may temporarily process your input according to their privacy policies.
  • No Retention: We do not store the names you submit for AI generation.

Browser Storage (IndexedDB)

Our signature history feature uses IndexedDB to store your signatures locally:

  • Local Only: All signatures are stored in your browser and never leave your device.
  • User Control: You can delete your signature history at any time from the History page.
  • Storage Limit: We store up to 50 signatures. Older signatures are automatically removed when the limit is reached.
  • No Server Upload: Signatures in your history are never uploaded to our servers or any third party.

Cookies & Analytics

We use minimal tracking:

  • No Cookies: We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising.
  • Analytics: We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that does not track individual users or set cookies.
  • No Third-Party Ads: We do not serve third-party advertising or tracking pixels.

File Uploads

When you upload a signature image:

  • Client-Side Processing: All image enhancements (brightness, contrast, background removal) are processed entirely in your browser.
  • No Server Upload: Your uploaded images are never sent to our servers.
  • Temporary Only: Uploaded images exist only in your browser session and are cleared when you close the page.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no data retention period. All data remains in your browser under your control.

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

  • Delete History: Clear your signature history at any time from the History page.
  • Clear Browser Data: You can clear all SignCraft data by clearing your browser's local storage and IndexedDB.
  • No Account Required: Since we don't require accounts, there's no personal data to delete from our servers.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Vercel AI Gateway: For AI signature generation (processes name input only)
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics: For privacy-focused website analytics
  • Google Fonts: For loading signature fonts (does not track users)

Children's Privacy

SignCraft does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Our service is designed for general audiences and does not target children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
